Cage Fighting/Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Weight Classes

Learn about MMA weight classes and the weights for each.

Under the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts, which are the most commonly applied rules, the following weight classes are defined and in fact required at many state sanctioned events in the United States, although not all states regulate MMA events. In the United Kingdom and Japan, where MMA fighting is also popular, different weight classes are defined by individual fight organizations.
